Double Fun, Not Double Frustration

This is a Double Step pattern from (pattern 6254)

This is a fun double step routine that allows participants to feel successful rather than frustrated! I "borrowed" Blocks 1 & 2 from Terri Kennedy. Thanks, Terri!

Steps are vertical. I call the steps "home" and "away". Starting position is to the left of "home" bench. All patterns start on home and finish on away. That way, you are ready to do the same pattern with the opposite foot leading on away bench. I describe each block assuming we start on home bench. References to a right foot lead will mean a left foot lead if you are starting on away bench.

Block 1

Block 2

*Inside loop = turnstep on away bench, then turnstep on home bench

Block 3

Block 4

*U-turn = turnstep, straddle, turnstep (also called a "horseshoe")

Block 5

Block 6

*Stomp - I think some people refer to this as "chug". Rock weight forward onto bench, then rock back, then repeat for a 4-count move in total.

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions. Enjoy! Thanks again to Terri Kennedy.
