Oh Those hard to reach back muscles.

This is a Body Sculpting pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 7403)

You will need a step with tubing (the kind with handles). Place the tubing under the short end of your step, now stand on the other end of your step with your back to the tubing. While hanging onto each end of the tubing, pull with a rounded back and slight bend in the knees, abs in tight, and a bend in each elbow round through until hands meet in front of your body chest height. Return slowly to start position. Repeat as many as possible.

* second exercise:

Keep tubing set up just the same as the first exercise except you will be standing off to the right side with your left foot on the step and your right foot on the floor. Hanging on to both handles make a pulling motion across your body. I tell my class to make believe they are trying to start a lawn mower - it's the same kind of move. Then switch sides and work the left side.
