Honey of a hi/low

This is a Hi/Lo pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 7536)

Hi/low is what I started on 12 years ago and I still love it.

*You'll end your grapevine with three alternating step knees - I like to turn these in a circle. You'll end this with your lead leg in a knee lift, from there you will go right into alternating kicks. There's a second of hesitation until you kick so be patient.

** I'm not a big arm pattern nut so this is just what it sounds like, press your arms up then out to the side then down, double clap.

*** A press up is just a calf raise pressing your arms over head. This is a neutral move so remember that the direction you jump to the side is the lead you start with into the next combination.

**** This can get a little tricky if you use the cross behind option. I angled the cross behind so that I end up facing the back wall. You then switch leads into your alternating kicks and return to face front.

I usually change my classes every time I teach, but even after I break a move down and show options and they still don't get it, I'll replace it with something I know they'll get. I may try it again the following class. I'll never use a move I can't break down into something simpler, I just don't think it's fair and to the class to do the "repeat 5 or 6 times and eventually they'll get it" method.

I hope you can use any of this and I'm always open for suggestions or even variations.
