An old favorite self reversing 32

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 6591)

Reverse, starting with the funky left (left knee pops up). I remind them that when the right foot starts, that's the knee that comes up, and vice-versa.

OH MY GOD! Explaining this stuff is crazy.

There's a Syncopated Funky for those who like more action: Start narrow (2), jump out-in-out-in-out-in (and 3 and 4 and 5) (3) knee up (1) exit down (2).

How I teach it: I do many million funky right, funky lefts, ending on a funky right, do an odd number of corner hamstring curls (usually 3 or 5), do an odd number of over the tops (usually 3 or 5), do the 1 repeater, and say, "Step up, face the front, lunge back right-left, step down". I aim to do the same number going through on the left, but it's naturally balanced, so it's not a tragedy if you did 5 on the first run-through and go to 3 on the next.
