Hot Moves

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 7882)

Please note that ** contains an explanation at the end of the routine. Start with right foot.

Part one

Repeat on the left side.

Part two

Repeat starting with the left foot, facing the back of the room.

Part 3

Repeat on left side.

Hope you have great fun with this. This is my first entry, so please give me some feedback...good or bad!!

Jump rope: Right heel onto step (1), "Hop" and switch to the left heel on the step (2), switch back to right (3), switch back to left and hold it on the step (4). Then you step on to your left leg to continue. In this case with the leg extension.

Knee pivot straddle: I don't have a "cute" name for this, so I use the actual movements as it's name. Start with the left foot stepping on step, lift right knee, pivot (half turn) and then straddle your step. Pick up your right foot, do a quarter pivot while kicking the left leg to the front (which is actually the back of your room) and exit off with no tap. You will be facing the back of your room ready to start the repeaters with the left foot leading.

Repeater knee option: To do a more advanced repeater knee, try the following. Start as usual. Step onto step with right foot (1), lift left knee (2), lunge back with left leg (3), hop switch to right lunge (4), switch back to left lunge (5), left knee back up on (6), take it off the step (7,8).

Step squat: Step onto your step with the right foot (1), squat down (2), step off with the left and walk around the end of your step (3,4). You can repeat this on each side until your class is comfortable with it. I call it "Step Squat Walk Walk."
