Horizontal High

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 7918)

Each week I like to devise a "master class" that I teach, in various versions, at different gyms around the city. This is last week's, with the fourth block something new that I just made up and am trying out for the first time this morning!

Block #1:

(Repeat pattern starting at left corner of step)

Block #1:

(The above can be repeated and intensified by coaching your participants to squat down on the step between the side squats)

Block #3:

(Repeat starting with other lead leg)

Block #4:

(Repeat starting with other lead leg)

*Mambo cha-cha-cha is just a mambo on the floor, using a quick three-step to travel on the floor towards the other corner.

**Mambo straddle moves out of a front mambo, with the participant stepping on the step, turning and straddling down to the front of the step and then turning to the front again, bringing the foot back to the step -- all of this with the same leg -- before returning to the floor.

OK, that's it. Wish me luck with the last bit, and feel free to email me with questons!
