Aqua Triathalon

I have enjoyed this website so much! I have been teaching for 6 months now and was lost until I found these routines. I have combined various things that I got off the website and created an Aqua Triathlon to help my students train and focus on their workouts.

I call this the "Aqua Triathlon". The goal is to run for 7 minutes, bike for 20 and swim 6 laps. This can be a really fun and challenging workout. We will train for 12 weeks. I would encourage all instructors to get in the water with your students and train with them. On the days we practice the triathlon I set up aqua stations around the pool. I have poster board with moves listed and the time lengths for each move. Some are in 4 feet of water and others are in 3 feet of water. Everyone can time himself or herself as they move through the stations.

Warm up first 5 - 10 minutes, side step across pool, jumping jacks, etc., Get the heart pumping!
