Group trivia

This is a Cycling pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 9149)

I just submitted an aquatic pattern using this same idea. It's a lot of fun and can be a really good workout too.

I used the fact cards, true/false, definitions, spelling words from the game "Cranium".

After warm-up begin at level 3. Each person gets a turn being the spokesperson for the group. Ask the question and give them 15 seconds to answer correctly. If right, stay at that level. If wrong increase tension for 1 minute. Then stay there while the next question is asked. If wrong, increase tension again for 2 minutes. Stay there until they miss again and have to increase tension until they have to stand. After all are standing, keep increasing tension and time with each wrong answer!! They answer as a group, but the spokesperson has the final say, and is also the one who must spell correctly, if they get a spelling question. The whole group adds tension and time each time there is a wrong answer.

Example:

Other options would be speed intervals instead of endurance climbing, or lifts, or push-ups, or anything where they have to work harder for a certain length of time for any missed answer.
