Put something in your hands!

This is an Aquatic pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 9871)

I just learned about this great site this morning. I've picked up several great ideas, thank you all!

I teach deep water, shallow water and Fit Moms (pre and post-natal) classes! I needed more to do with the hands during Fit Moms, so here's what I did...

Several of my moms had circulation problems and found it difficult to hold hand buoys, etc., so I took some old noodles and cut them into 12 inch sections. We now have hand noodles to hold on to. It's easier on the hands and wrists (would be great for arthritis and fibro-myalgia sufferers as well).

I have found that holding the hand noodles makes them more aware and they continue to move their hands, but with out, they tend to forget about the hands, even with reminding and changing exercises. (Sculling gets booring!)

Recycle those old noodles!
