This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 9874)
- 8) Step touch moving up (right, left, right, left)
- 4) Walk to the right (1-2-3-knee up)
- 4) Walk back
- 8) Step touch moving back (right, left, right, left)
- 8) Walk up 2-3-knee and back
- 4) Mambo chase (right lead, facing left)
- 4) Mambo chase again (with a left lead)
- 8) Pivot front - pivot back - mambo 1x (facing front of
room)
- 8) V-step 2x (right lead)*
- 8) V-step 2x (left lead)*
- 4) Grapevine right (unload off right foot & quarter turn
to right wall)
- 4) Walk to the right, (left lead, facing right wall)
- 4) Walk backwards**
- 4) Grapevine left (now facing front of room)
- 8) Hamcurl (stepping right)
- 8) Hamcurl pivot-turn (into right shoulder)
* V-step: adding a hop to the center on 4th count and clap
adds more oomph!
** Walking backwards: it helps to "unload" (little hop) off
of right foot and lifting the left knee as you're going into
the grapevine left
This is my first submittal to Turnstep. Thank you all so
much for your help and inspiration. Going on my 3rd year as
an instructor and I'm not a natural so even basic stuff keeps
me practicing a lot! Enjoy
