Abs Down

This is an Abs pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 10637)

This is a "Yoga" type pose. I use it at the end of my aerobics class after we do some abs. It is a killer pose! It involves abs, quads, buns & inner thighs.

Lay on back, knees bent, feet a comfortable distance away from buns. Legs need to be touching. Squeeze abs (to support back) squeeze buns & slowly lift hips up. (I practice this much a couple of times & check form before moving on).

After hips are raised, lift higher until on top of shoulder blades. Eyes looking to sky, abs tight, buns tight, squeeze inner thighs together. The feet should be under the knees. Knees inline with hips, hips inline with shoulders. Back is supported by abdominals. The entire lower body is contracted. Hold for 8 counts and roll the back down slowly. Repeat a couple of times, it is good!!
