Ooo-la-la!

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 8571)

I named this pattern after my favorite song on my current favorite tape. The first two blocks I made up and the second one I swiped from David Keoughan, who team-teaches with me at the Y.

                         N
                     xxxxxxxxx
                   W x x E
                     xxxxxxxxx
                         S

Step is horizontal and you are on south side, facing west.

Block #1:

(You are now on the north side of the step, facing east)

Block #2:

(You are now on the north side of the step, facing west)

Block #3:

(You are now on the north side of the step, facing east)

Block #4:

Repeat it all again and you are back where you started.

* Inside turn: Step kick (2), two steps on the floor turning around (2), step kick (2), step down without turning (2). Cue: "Step, kick, turn around, step, kick, down, down."

** Here, the step knee on the step will feel funny because you are leading with the outside foot.

*** U-turn: This is just a mini turnstep.

**** Travelling knee and lunge: Do one knee up (2) and then 2 steps on the floor behind the end of the step to take you to the other side (2), then knee up lunge back (4) but stay on that side (don't travel).

***** Ski turn with 6 back lunges: Self-explanatory, but anyway, you just step up as if beginning a turnstep and then do 6 alternating lunges off the step before completing the turnstep.

I just read this over and some parts seem kind of complicated, so feel free to email me with questions. Thanks for all the great material, everyone!!
