I always like to use strong movements and rarely incorporate fancy arms. I usually have a mix of levels in my class, so routines that are challenging enough for the more advanced participants, but easy enough to catch onto for the less co-ordinated are hard to put together....this routine, however, seems to work well for all levels because it's fun but also incorporates the basics. When you kick out of the straddle, cue "lever it out," and use a strong, extended knee, working the quads and hip flexor.
