Karate Kombos 2

This is a BoxAerobics pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 8608)

Start with jumping jacks facing the mirrors, then add...

Cue: jack, jab, jack, jab (as many sets as you want)

Then back to jumping jacks only, then add...

Cue: jack, kick, jack, kick (as many sets as you want)

Some instructors who haven't had martial arts training sometimes teach a side kick that is more like a round kick. They are 2 totally different types of kicks that work completely different parts of the leg, hip, and rear. You get a better workout when you teach them separately as opposed to combining the kicks.

At the end of class we do floor work where we get on all fours and practice round kicks, side kicks, hook kicks and back kicks. They will be begging for mercy! You can also be sure everyone is doing the kick correctly and safely.
