Pretty Basic for Start of New Session!

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 8400)

Thanks everyone for sharing your routines. I don't think I could teach if I didn't have this site to help me! Some of you will recognize parts of this routine - I change yours to fit my abilities and my class. I had a lot of new people the other day and I changed my harder routine to this so that the newbies wouldn't feel frustrated and they would come back again!

Warm-up

Combo II - letter combo

Combo III

Combo IV

Repeat other lead

* Z-step - Step touch on step, step touch on floor

** X-step - up up straddle forward, up up straddle back - makes an X on and off the step

*** Single kicks to center - This can be changed to a kick turn kick which is a kick on the step, turn to the back of the room (I tell the class to "walk walk" in the opposite direction from the lead that kicked on the step; that seemed to help them more than telling them to turn over a certain shoulder) kick to the back of the room, "walk walk" to front, turning and kick again on the step. The alternative of three single kicks on the step to the center works very well for those who do not like to turn or get off their step!

Please email me with any ???? or comments. I would love to hear from you.
