E.Bunny's Hi/Low Initiation
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 8455)
This semester I am teaching more hi/low classes, so here's
one for you...all combos right-leading and self-reversing.
Combo 1:
- Walk to right wall 7 steps/tap left foot (8)
- Leading left, walk backwards 1-2-3-tap right foot (4)
- Grapevine right, facing front of room (4)
- Steptouch 4X, left lead (8)--Single hams (8)
Combo 2:
- Stepout right 4X (8)**
- Stepout spin (8)**
- Walk front 4 counts (4)--2 Jacks (4)
- Walk backwards 4 counts (4)--2 Jacks
Combo 3:
- Grapevine right (4)--Grapevine left to front of room (4)
(This makes an "L"-shape)
- Walk in big circle to right, towards back, to
face front (8)
- Alternate power squats to sides (16)
Combo 4:
- 2 V-steps (8)
- Mambo, cha-cha-cha to switch leads (4)-- 1 Power
jack (4)
- Grapevine left (4)--Double lunge back right leg (4)
- Grapevine right (4)--Double lunge back left leg (4)
Combo 5:
- Heel/toe 2X (4)**--Shuffle fast 4X to right (4)
- "Overload" left 2X or left knee lift/kick
side/knee/kick (8)
- Repeat last 16 counts, leading to left
Explanations below -- please email with ?? or comments!!
**Stepout=Do a toe tap to right side, with right arms extending
straight to right side at same time (arm and leg move
together).
**Stepout spin=same as above, but first side tap goes to
front of room, 2nd to left wall, 3rd to back wall, 4th to
right wall.
**Heel/toe=right heel placed to right side (8), cross leg in
front of body so you can place toe on floor (7), do again (6,5).
Think of an Irish jig, then you will get the picture.
