Hops-alot
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 8457)
- Walk forward and back 4x
- 4 Hops (feet together hop in place)
- 4 Step taps right and left
- 2 Single grapevines right and left
- 2 Double grapevines right and left (you can add a
hopturn in the middle for more variety)
- 4 Hops
- 4 Jumping jacks
- 4 Double jumping jacks (like a jumping jack but feet go
2 counts out and then 2 counts in)
- 4 Football jogs legs-wide (like football players would
jog through tires)
- 4 Football jogs legs-together
- 4 Hops
On the hops, hands slap down on thighs
On the double jacks I usually have arms go straight out
to the sides (1) then over head (2) then back to the sides (3)
then down in front (4). Very simple because the feet going out,
out, in, in tends to confuse people at first.
On the football jogs, I only count the right foot 4x, because
the jog is very fast.
This set has a lot of hops. Sometimes I cut out the last
4 hops and go straight to the walk from the football jogs.
Give it a try! Let me know if you have questions.
