Titanium Legs

This is an Aquatic pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 9595)

I've expanded this pattern a lot in the past few weeks with my classes, and I and my participants are noticing great results in thigh strength and definition!

Facing class, with your back facing the shallow end of the pool, run your participants forward until they are all at navel depth

Still in a run, have them go into a seated position, butt down, thighs parallel to the floor, knees forward but not going past the shoelaces, and arms raised over the waterline (very important)

IN THIS SEATED POSITION:

Both legs will be singing by this time, especially if you go longer on the Karate Kick and Flick Kick segments. In the "Extend And Bend" segment, the standing leg is working hard to keep you upright while remaining in this seated position. Very important to cue to keep arms over the waterline (behind the head is good as long as they don't pull on the neck), to keep the back vertical and stable, and to keep the eyes focused straight ahead throughout the rotation.

Have fun!

Annette
