A workout for the MIND, too!

This is a BoxAerobics pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 9614)

I like to keep my classes from getting stale by having my participants use their MINDS aerobically, too, challenging them with coordination and agility combos. Here are two of my favorites. Feel free to email me with questions.

First is for upper body and punching coordination. Starting regular tempo, using same hand double punches:

Then take them back to double jabs, but slow it to half time. Now comes the "tricky" part. You create a transition from one punch to the next by changing the second punch in your double.

At half time, sequence them thru as follows:

Then once they have it, repeat it all (as many times as you think they can stand it) at tempo. They'll be sweating by the end!

The second pattern is for lower body. It's a self-reversing pattern that is ALMOST non-tapping. Start half-time to demo.

(Repeat with left lead.)

Each set of 8 times through this you can make an advancement (modification). They are as follows.
