L-step into strong Quads

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 9686)

Add ons for your standard L-step. Vertical bench, right leg leads.

L-step (I know you all know how to do these, but for clarity......):

Then, instead of tapping down (3,4), change to:

Repeat with left lead.

Have them squat real low so they feel quads working. Once they get the hang on that, add on. This is 2 sets of 8 counts (total 16 counts):

Repeat with left lead.

* You go straight from a squat to abductions with no break or tapping up or down.

It may seem like you're off the music but you'll find that you're not. It works best if you count those squats, otherwise many people will be tempted to abduct too soon.

I usually do my abductions without tapping the foot down on the floor so you really focus on squeezing those outer glutes.
