This is a Cycling pattern from (pattern 9472)

First put on a nice long song, Trance or Psycho Trance work well

Print up a heart rate chart, for 30-40-50 year olds, ie

50 Year Old   40 year old is ten beats less, 30 ten less etc.

50%    85

I post these where all can see and encourage all to wear monitors. I also will use perceived cues, ie you can say 3 words then a breath, you can carry on a conversation, etc.

Do this for 3 to 4 cycles, returning to 60% after the 85-90%. This allows for recovery, strength and terrific endurance. End your final cycle with a 30 second all out sprint.

My class loves these because the class is half over when they are through and the calorie burn is super!!
