Wall Sits

This is a Body Sculpting pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 8785)

This may have appeared previously - if yes, I apologize for repeating it. I remember p.e. class in high school, and Mr. Bowers 'making' us do these until our legs screamed - thanks for the fond memories, Mr. Bowers.

In my Circuit Step class, we will do wall squats to work the quads. The top of your head down to your butt sits against the wall, abs are tight. You lower yourself down to where your quads are parallel with the floor. If you want, you can extend your arms out in front, it makes a bit harder. I have the class hold that pose for a 12 count.

We'll come for a breather then slide back down where the quads are again parallel with the floor and hold for a 12 count. We then come up about 1/4 of the way and hold for a 12 count; come up another 1/4 of the way and hold for a 12 count. Then back down a 1/4 of the way for a 12 count and down one more 1/4 of the way (quads are back to parallel with the floor) and hold for a 12 count. Very effective!!

Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful website. I have used many of your ideas for my classes.
