Short, high-cardio step pattern

This is a Step pattern from (pattern 8822)

This is high cardio, but not wild on the choreography. Participants said it was a great workout segment. This was done as a small interval segment in a step circuit class. You may want to add it into a bigger pattern for a longer segment.

+++football straddle is a knee straddle (low option) with a "1-2-3-4-" football-style straddle run (stationary). In other words: (left lead, with left side of body to the step like you are going to go over) step (left foot), up knee (right), ^right foot down floor, left foot down floor, right floor, left floor,^ (^this symbol to this^ symbol is the "1-2-3-4-" done double time) step (right), up knee (left), EXIT (left). Repeat going back over the step the other way for 2nd one. It sounds more complicated than it is.

This will really work those legs and get that heart rate up. The low option is simply a knee straddle over and back (same motion, but without the "1-2-3-4-"-). That is: Step (left) knee up (right), down foot (right), down foot (left), step (right), knee up (left), EXIT (left). Then repeat right lead to go back over.
