Slow Mondays

This is a Body Sculpting pattern from (pattern 9249)

After reading how beneficial very slow reps can be, I decided to incorporate them into my body conditioning classes. Extrememly slow reps can be grouling and tedious, so I only do them once a week....hence my "Slow Monday" classes (my class is early in the morning and sometimes it seems like we're off to a slow start!)

I choose very slow music, either a slow step tape (122) or preferably a slower body conditioning tape (112-118). We warm up with singles, then slow it down to up 2 down 2, then quickly change that to up 4 down 4. If a break is needed we do a quick one here. Then we do 5 reps of up 8 counts, down 8 counts. If they chose a heavy enough weight, 5 reps can be very difficult to do.

Try these with push-ups too! Any move will work.
