BodyBar Blast Class

This is a Body Sculpting pattern from (pattern 9268)

Body position: on the floor with a mat and an incline step

Body position: lunge position with one foot on the step, the other on the floor. Bodybar is in one hand with the weight equally distributed. Proceed:

Body position: standing. Underhand grip. Proceed:

Body position: standing on top of step with underhand grip. Rest the majority of your body weight in the right leg. Lift the left heel off the floor, point your toes and rest lightly on the left side. As students do the next exercise, they may maintain this position, or they may opt to lift their left foot entirely off the floor. Extend the left leg to the front of the step or slightly behind. Proceed:

Finish up with abs and long stretch.

Class time: one hour

Equipment needed: step, bodybar (could use two; one light, one heavy), and a mat.

Sets and reps: 2-3 sets, 8-16 reps for upper body, 16+ reps for lower.

Tempo: slower is best for combo. moves. Choose 4 down/4 up when introducing a new move.
