Double for newbies

This is a Double Step pattern from (pattern 9357)

Place your benches vertically, with enough room between so you won't trip. I'll refer to the benches as home and away. Start at the far left and after each combo, you'll be back where you started.

Explanations: These are moves I frequently use in any step class. The moves are harder to type in than to do and will be easier for people who use a lot of straddle moves. I use names for these as straddle moves (straddle over, straddle lunge over, etc) but for continuity I've used indecision names.

C: abduction indecision: 1-right up, 2-left abduction (side lift), 3-left down on left side, 4-right down on right side *legs are in the straddle position*, 5-left up, 6-right abduction, 7-right down right side, 8-left down right side.

D: indecision with lunges-start with the 8 count version first-1-right up, 2-left up, 3/4-right lunges and returns, 5/6-left lunges and returns, 7-right down right side, 8-left down right side. The 16 version used in this pattern uses 6 lunges instead of 2. I encourage my class to count the lunges down *out loud*-it helps get you off the bench on the correct counts.

Repeater glutes indecision: 1-right up, 2/3/4/5/6-left repeater glutes, 7-left down on leftside, 8-right down on right side *straddle position*, 9-left up, 10/11/12/13/14-right repeater glutes, 15-right down right side, 16-left down left side.

I break this down as much or as little as needed. But I usually do several of each of the indecision moves separately before adding them together.
