Touchdown! (Sonia's #13)

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 10419)

Horizontal, 32 count, self-reversing, tapless. This routine evolved from my Fall Kick Off. After teaching the basic routine I used these as options for my advanced students. Choreography follows.

Combo 1

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 2.

Combo 2

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 3.

Combo 3

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 4.

Combo 4

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 5.

Combo 5

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 6.

Combo 6

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 7.

Combo 7

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 1.

Combo 1:
Kickin L-step: (1) Step up right at west/left end, (2) left knee lifts and foot kicks forward (knee strike), (3) left steps down at narrow end, (4) right leg lifts to side slightly bent and foot kicks out, (5) right foot steps on top, (6) left knee lifts and foot kicks forward, (7,8) left foot steps down, right foot steps down (Home).

Front to Back V-step: (1,2) V on the step, (3,4) as you come down turn in lead direction to face the back, (5,6) V on the floor, (7,8) as you step back turn again in lead direction to face the step.

Combo 2:
Turnover Split Basic: (1,2) Step up right and left, turning right on the top so that you face the back, (3,4,5,6) right foot taps the floor and returns to the top, left foot taps the floor and returns to the top (7,8) right foot down, left foot down. You are facing back.

Chug, Chug, Fly Over: (1,2,3,4) Do 2 chugs (aka stomps, aka rocks), the right is slightly lifted and.....(5) steps on top, (6) give a little hop on the right foot (pivot) as you swing the left leg forward over the step, (7,8) left steps down, right steps down. Use sunshine/starburst arms with the fly (aka 1/2 tapless helicopter).

Combo 3:
Turning Knees On Top: (1) Step right, (2) knee lift left and begin turning left, (3) step down on top left - you should be facing the back now, (4) lift the right knee (5) step off the narrow end with the right foot, (6) lift the left knee, (7,8) walk left, right home.

Combo 4:
Zig Zags are just 3 over the tops moving forward - add a knee lift to make it tapless.

Combo 5:
I call the moves where you turn in on the floor "spirals."

Combo 6:
For these Around the World kicks I like to use the outer corners rather than the center part of the step. So begin them like a traveling kick and do your straddles near the narrow ends of the step.

Combo 7:
In/Out/In V-step: (1,2) up right and left, (3,4,5) jump in, out wide, in on top of the step, (6) lift the right knee (7,8) exit right, left.
