Warm-up: Dynamic Stretch Insert

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 10486)

Dynamic stretches move, but are not fast enough to be ballistic. Brief static stretches are included also.

Begin your warm-up by teaching the base foot pattern for your first combination, which should be self-reversing. Save any complex directional changes or intense power options for after the warm-up.

When finished teaching the pattern for the first combo, do 32 counts of corner-corner. This is a great time to give educational or form cues or connect with your class.

Next cue a hold on left corner (right lead) and insert a dynamic stretch series:

Next, do 32 counts of corner-corner. Again -- educational or form cues, and class connection time!

Then review 1st combination one time (or three times if you have a class that needs more repetition).

Repeat the stretch series on the other leg.

All (8) counts can be expanded to (16) if necessary.

If any part of this does not make sense, feel free to email me.
