The Next Level for Routine B (Sonia's #14)

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 10495)

Hi! The basic combos are from Sonia's ABC's of Step (Routine B). I used combos 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7. This is self-reversing, tapless, intermediate to advanced level. Step is horizontal.

Combo 1

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 2.

Combo 2

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 3.

Combo 3

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 4.

Combo 4 (This is base combo 5)

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 5.

Combo 5 (This is base combo 7)

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 1.

Notes and choreography:

Combo 1

Rhythm rocks: (1,2,3) Stomp, walk down left and right, (4,5,6) Stomp, walk down right and left. Jumping jack completes the 8 count.

Broadway knee: (1,2) Step and knee lift, (3,4,5) walk back 3, (6) knee lift, (7,8) walk back to step.

Combo 2

In/out/in V-step: (1,2) Up up in V, (3,4,5) hop in out in on top (6) lift the right knee (7,8) exit right and left.

Step touch circle: (1,2) Step up right, left touches in on top, (3,4) left steps big off the front at a slight angle - you are starting to turn around the right shoulder (in to the step), right touches to left, (5,6) step up right, left touches in on top, keep turning to face the back (7,8) exit left and right turning in to face the step. This is an advanced move only! Others should just do a step touch on top (no turning or moving over and back on the step).

Combo 3

Turning knees on top: (1) Step up right, (2) lift the left knee and begin to turn to the left on top, (3) left steps down on top, (4) lift the right knee and finish turning to face the back - still on top, (5) right steps down at the narrow end facing the back, (6) left knee lifts, (7,8) walk home left and right. This is an advanced move. Others can just do three knee lifts on top. Doing these with a skipping motion actually helps on the turning knees.

Combo 4

Turnover: (1) Step up right and start to turn right, (2) step up left and complete the turn on top so that you are facing the back, (3) step off on the front/north side right and left facing the back.

Slide "n" jacks: (1) Right foot steps out wide, (2) left foot slides in to right, (3,4) 1 jumping jack. Repeat to the left. Keep your right foot lead for the next move.

Combo 5

Swing set: (1,2) Step up right and abduct the left leg (3,4) step down left and right turning in toward the step to face the back, (5,6) step up left and abduct the right leg, (7,8) step down right and left turning in toward the step to face the front again.
