Side Target

This is a BoxAerobics pattern from (pattern 10555)

Usually, I do several 4-count combinations and then put them together. This one works well: take a step left to the left (1), then cross the right foot behind it (2), then side kick left (3), left leg down on 4. Then repeat to the right. After the class feels repeats this several times, we do a cross punch left, with a side kick right. After repeating this 4 counts about 8 times, we alternate and cross punch right with a side kick left. Then, we put it together:

Step left to the left, step right, side kick left, cross punch right, another side kick left (total of 8 counts). Then we do it all to the right. After repeating this 8-count combination about 4 times (total of 64 counts, since you're doing it on both sides), you can have your class change the second side kick to a front snap kick but to the side, so that the target remains in the same place. Then, you could make the snap kick a knee strike, etc. Just change it up, so they have to think a little.

It's nice to alternate combinations--it's more challenging. Enjoy.
