Butterfly Butt Burner

Hi! I just found this site a couple of days ago and I have been so excited to find more great exercises to use with my classes.

This is one of my favorites, and my classes love it too! I mostly teach deep water, but the Butterfly Butt Burner could be adjusted for shallow as well by hanging on the wall or using noodles for floatation.

First, you need to put your legs into a 'butterly stretch' position (you are vertical in the water) by bending your knee and bring your feet together up by your 'private' area, and turning your knees out. Kness need to stay turned out and feet together entire time. Make sure your entire lower body is tight-tight abs, straight back, tight butt! Keeping your feet together and knees turned out, push your feet down towards the bottom of the pool, squeezing your thighs, calfs and buttocks. Then bring it back up to start position keeping stomach and fanny tight. Continue the sequence of pressing feet down, then back up.

I use this one in our muscle section, doing it for about 1 1/2 minutes, then double-time double-effort for 30-45 seconds. When I use this one, they keep wanting to do more!
