Breezin' Through Summer with Hollie D. (Sonia's # 11)

This is a Step pattern from (pattern 10027)

Some of these moves were inspired by Hollie D., whose class I took this summer at a nearby YMCA. Horizontal step, right foot lead, 32 count, self-reversing. Notes and choreography follow.

Combo 1

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 2.

Combo 2

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 3.

Combo 3

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 4.

Combo 4

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 5.

Combo 5

Repeat with a left lead or go back to combo 1.


Traveling is also called alternate corners. Just walk, no tapping!

Here's a suggestion for a warm-up for this routine:

This adds up to 160 counts (5 sets of 32 on one side). Repeat with a left lead. On the V-steps you could preview the front/back V.


*Front to back V-step: (1,2) Step up wide right and left, (3,4) as you exit turn to the right so you are facing the back, (5,6) V-step on the floor, (7,8) turn right back to face the step.

** Broadway knee: (1,2) Step left at the southeast/right corner, lift the right knee, (3,4,5) walk back right, left, right, (6) lift the left knee, (7,8) walk back to the step left and right.

*** Bowtie: 2X, One diagonal walk, march or step touch around end.
