Aussie Steppin Again
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 10043)
Hi Guys
This is what I'm doing tonight [Tue Sep 4th 5.30pm]
Once taught, it's tap free and the board is horizontal
Any Q's please email.
Thanks for all the ideas, most of this is borrowed.
I've been starting with the left lead lately, only because
I've been facing the same way as the class when I've been
teaching, and as you know your left is always their right. So
now I lead left.
Left lead
A
- Skate/ Straddle 1-8
- Normal skate step but don't step off straddle down with
the last hamstring curl
- ** Always tell the class that the last hamstring curl
straddles home - that way they won't straddle the wrong
way **
- 2 Repeater flick kick and walk around board back
home 9-16
- Revolving door{left lead} - 17-24 [or 2x over tops]
- Repeater knee and toe tap forward on the board 25-32 =
1 knee, 3 toe taps on floor, 1 knee and off board
B (left lead)
- 6 Point turnstep and hop {or mambo} 1-8
- 2 x Shuffle turn down board 9-16
- 1 Knee/straddle 17-20
- 1 Knee lift home {like a 1/4 hop turn} 21-24
- Running man or split basic 25-32
C (right lead)
- 2 Alternating knees on board {step up knee alternate knee
on top of board and step down down} 1-6
- ** When teaching this get them to do the knees step
down down and march for 2 **
- "Stomping corkscrew" 7-18 or "round the world stomp" ***I
cue "stomp it round" thanks for this move, I read it last
week and it's so excellent-my members love it !
- 1 Pivot turn on board 19-22 (face forward - or level one
can do a basic step )
- 4 Repeater leg curl/hamstring curl 23-32 (do this facing
forward on the board}
D (left lead)
- "Slow/Quick V-step"
- Step up slow in a V step 1-4
- Step down quick and then back up on top quick 5-8
- Do 3 alternating lunges and on the last one do a knee lift
and step off down down. 9-16
- L Rocket or Low L to corner (or level one can do a normal
L-step) 17-24
- Flick Scissor other corner 25-32 (again level one can do
a normal flick kick repeater)
*** Don't forget to change lead legs - once complete you'll
end up on the left lead again. ***
Hope you enjoy
Keep smiling and keep fit
