Push Up Sprints!

This is an Aquatic pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 11405)

Hi everybody, I just started teaching Aqua and have enjoyed all of your suggestions!

Here is one the we do in my class, it is a lot of fun, instead of just doing a sprint in place.

First I have the class line up in two lines. One on each side of the pool (short length) facing each other. Then on my cue I have them run as fast as they can to the other side, once there they do 5 push ups (two ways of doing these, either push up out of the pool, remind them not to jump, or push on the side I like this one the best because you are pushing against the water resistance). Once done with the push ups, I have them run back to the other side and do push ups...etc. I have them run back and forth for about one minute to one minute and 15 seconds. We end up doing about 4 sets of push ups.
