Sprint Drills

This is a Cycling pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 11436)

I got these ideas from Road Cyclists who come along to my Cycling Class, and the rest of the class love it too! (I think!!).

Firstly they select a gear that they know that they can perform sprints comfortably with, and I have them perform 45 seconds as fast as they can as if they are jumping away from the peleton, then they take 15 seconds out staying on that same gear, but going slowly, we repeat this 6 times (6 minutes), but for not so advanced classes I would do 25-30 second fast then 10 second slow, and you can also cut the amount that they do i.e. 3 times and then spin out and then repeat.

Next drills are with a slightly harder gear 10 second fast 10 second slow for 6 times or more if the class are advanced. Push the gear harder and do 5 second fast and 5 second slow.

Hope you hardened spinners can use this one, I usually do this to an Ibiza mix type CD, as the music is club and loud to make them work hard to the beat.

Thanks for all the great ideas I have poached from this sight especially step and Aqua. Cheers!!
