Ashley's favorite step combo

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 11993)

Bench is horizontal. The combo is self-reversing. I LOVE this one because it uses all parts of the legs and, once learned, moves VERY fast. I especially love it because it is loaded with options, so people with different levels can work within their personal zone. Of course, I like it best using the options (see below for advanced options).

Combo #1 (lead right)

You are ready to begin on the other side

Combo #2 (lead right)

OPTIONS

*Glute-straddle-glute-exit: right foot up & glute lift left, straddle down left/right, left foot up & glute lift right, exit right/left as you face the back of the room, right foot up on the other corner & glute lift left, straddle left/right, left foot up & right glute lift, exit right/left and you should be facing the front where you started)

**Reverse V-step: Instead of the basic left, do a reverse V-step left (left foot on the east corner (1), turn towards your right shoulder and your right foot steps on the west corner as you face the back of the room (2), exit off the back left/right so you are on the north side of the bench facing the back of the room (3,4)

***Rocking horse: right foot stomps or hops up (1), rock back onto left foor on the floor (2), right foot stomps/hops up again on the bench (3), rock back onto left foot on the floor (4), right foot to the floor (5), left foot stomps or hops onto the top of the bench (6), exit to the floor right then left (7,8)

****Alternating knees 2X; L-off; step touch around: Alternate knees 2X leading left then right (8), then L-step with left lead and right knee comes up (1-2), right foot to the floor while you turn towards your right shoulder (leave the left knee suspended in the air) (3-4), narrow step touch to the left leading left (5-6) (you are now facing the back of the room), and wide step touch to the right leading right (7-8) (you are now facing your bench)

*****Z-steps (I like to call them "zorros"): Zorro (low-impact): right foot on top/left hamstring curl (1-2), left foot on top/ right hamstring curl (3-4), right foot to the floor/left hamstring curl (5-6), left foot to the floor/right hamstring curl (7-8). Zorro (high-impact): right foot on top/left hamstring curl (1-2), left foot on top/ right hamstring curl (3-4), right foot to the floor/left foot to the floor (5-6), jumping jack (7-8)

There are a lot of words here to describe quick, relatively simple movement. Please feel free to email me if you have questions!
