ABS on Friday

This is an Abs pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 12024)

Hi! Although I do not typically submit abdominal suggestions, just thought I might add my bit...I teach a 40 minute abs class each Friday in addition to any abs that I might do during the week. I also teach Yoga, and anyone knows that you have to 'forget' anything you ever learned about abs class for Yoga, so I combine the two techniques remembering to stretch/work the back in between each exercise. Typical structure of class as follows:

Repeat from beginning, last set switch to other side

Repeat pelvic lift sequence

Stretch the body lengthwise, arms and feet as far as possible from each other

Repeat alternating leg and arm stretches.

Lying on the back, try this one: bend the knees, right arm sliding up right knee. Chin is on the chest as you come up...INHALE on the way UP, EXHALE down...keep it slow! This is one of those Yoga exercises in which you have to train your brain to not go on auto pilot! Give it a shot! Repeat other side

Stretch the back completely before ending the session. I have a lot more exercises, but I'll save them for next time. Let me know if you have any questions regarding any of these, if you liked them, hated them or if I did not do a good job explaning them...they make sense in my head!
