A Little Boxer Hop!

This is a BoxAerobics pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 12038)

This one's pretty simple, but I do it in my Boot Camp Kick class sometimes, and it goes over pretty well.

Start the next set of 8 counts with a hop facing a quarter turn right, and then front snap kick right, etc.

Now, if the class seems confused, you can teach it with a hop to the left each time and after several reps, then start the 8 counts with a hop to the right. Alternating combinations from left to right or vice versa can make it more challenging, but I just make sure to cue the "Hop left, kick left" as we're starting that crescent kick.

One modification for the hop, in case you have members who don't care for high impact moves, is just to step and turn a quarter turn to the left and then bring the feet together on 2. Simple, but it'll do the trick.

And you can make that second kick a round kick instead, if some of your participants have trouble or simply do not care for the crescent kick.

Just let me know if you have any questions.
