KickChick Strikes Again!

This is a BoxAerobics pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 12535)

I teach a cardio kickboxing class at a martial arts school that uses gloves and heavy standing bags (wavemasters). You can use these combos on a bag or without!

I have a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do .. so I try to incorporate those techniques into my classes.

A good warmup:
Standing sideways to bag:
Jumping jack/reverse punch
... then pivot to a low lunge reaching across with a reverse punch

Combinations begin in a left foot forward fighting stance.... then switch sides to right foot forward repeat

These are good combos in order to teach correct technique:
Front kick front leg/ step back right
add reverse punch right(forward)
Roundhouse front leg/step back right
Add knife hand ("karate chop") right (behind to back wall)
Side kick front leg/step back right
Add back fist right (behind to back wall)

... now to increase the cardio portion of class:
Facing forward to bag:
Jumping jacks with alternating front kicks
Turning to left: jumping jack side kicks with right leg
Back to front jumping jacks with alternating front kicks
Turning to right: jumping jack side kicks with left leg
Back to front jumping jacks with alternating front kicks

Keep those BoxAerobic combos coming ... especially for gloves & bag!
