Challenged Athlete Imagery

This is a Cycling pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 10960)

I teach using the Precision Cycling method. I don't need music suggestions or class format suggestions. But, I am looking for new imagery to use. Below is an example. It really gets the class up the last hill of the day! If you have any you would like to share, please write me here or via email! I have more.

Challenged Athlete Imagery

Tell the class that they're heading up a steep hill (usually the last one of the day). Tell them to close their eyes. They are the "coach". They are leading a group of challenged athletes up the hill. As they approach the first steep part, they pick up a person who is blind (add you're own dialogue here - the person can only see the coaches' shadow, the person is following the coach up the hill from behind, etc.). Tell the class to gear up and lead this athlete up the hill for the ride of his life.

Next steep part, they pick up a person with no legs. The person is climbing the hill on a bike using only their arms (add dialogue). Gear up and lead the person up the hill.

Next steep part, they pick up a person with cancer. Add dialogue - this is the most important ride of this person's life. Add a gear and lead the person up the hill to the top.

Keep going with the imagery to the top - tell them to coach the group to the top of the hill - good form, push and pull their legs, you can do it, you can do it. Hit 90% heart rate and take it to the top!
