Groovy Winter Step
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 11039)
I'm not exactly a choreography wizard with step- this is
mostly intermediate stuff that you can make challenging by
adding power/ impact. My Step II classes seem to enjoy it.
Hope you do too!
Step is horizontal, facing north (front). All blocks begin
on right lead and are 32 counts.
Block 1:
- Ham curl corner to corner (8)
- Knee lift to west corner (4)
- Jog basic (switches lead) (4)
- Split basic (8)
- Revolving door (8)
Repeat left.
Block 2:
- Shuffle turn right and left (8)
- Ham straddle ham exit facing west wall (8)
- "Booty lift" (glute squeeze) 2x with right leg (8)
- Over the top (tap down) (4)
- Power knee lift to west corner (4)
Repeat left.
Block 3:
- V-step on step
- Reverse V-step on the floor (to make a bowtie) (8)
- Power/jog basic (4)
- Basic straddle (4)
- Kick repeater (switches lead) (8)
- Knee corner to corner (8)
Repeat left.
Block 4:
- I-step (up jack, down jack) (8)
- Knee pendulum to the front (8)
- Ham repeater travel 1/2 way around the step to
north (front) side (8)
- Over the top (4)
- Kick up to west corner (4)
Repeat left.
Easy but intense block 5:
- 1/2 L-step (4)
- Over the top long 3x (12)
- Step tap/basketball hoops 2x on east end (8)
- 1/2 L-step back to south (back) side (4)
- Hop turn with right foot to face the back of the room (4)
Repeat on left lead facing back of the room and you'll
end up facing front again after the second 32.
Hope you can use some of this- let me know if you like it!
