Black Red Flag Day

When I was in high school, I decided to join the wrestling team. At first the guys gave me a hard time because I was a girl, but I gained their respect through hard work. To this day, the workouts I did at wrestling practice were the hardest I've ever done. Once in a while, our coach would have us do a Red Flag Practice. Basically, this was 2-3 hours of nonstop wrestling, calisthenics, sprints, cardio, and other vicious exercise. By the end of practice everyone was drenched. The windows would be fogged with sweat and we would have to crawl out of the wrestling room.

Now that I am a trainer I try to bring the same intensity to class. Obviously, the class members are not in as great condition as wrestlers are, be they still want to challenge themselves mentally and physically. The following is the workout I put the class through at my gym. NOTE: I teach extremely fit people. Your class might not be able to do this type of extreme workout. Keep plenty of water handy and encourage everyone to only do what they can. Remember that it is okay not to be able to finish an extreme workout like this.

Remember that this is a workout only for the extremely fit. If someone cannot finish it is okay. I have had great success with this workout and the class really love it. People cannot believe how much stronger they are when the push themselves. Good luck and keep training hard!
