Frannie's Hi/Low 1/2002

This is a Hi/Lo pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 10858)

Happy New Year! I hope you can all follow these combos. I used a ** to indicate the directionals.

Please continue to send in hi/low combinations as there are not many on the website. It is important that we keep hi/low going forever!! We are constantly in a stepping mode. If you teach more than 3 step classes a week you may be unbalanced or slowly injuring yourself. Try to teach more hi/low. If not in a class, do it at home. I may be wrong in your particular area, however I see a drop in the group fitness industry. There seem to be less classes to chose from and less people to draw in. I noticed that even the conventions are not as busy as usual (I go to a lot of them). Keep yourself well varied. If you do not like high impact do a hi/low or low impact routine. Keep one on hand. The more you teach it the better you will get. Hi/low is where it is at. You can be more creative with hi/low without being contraindicated, as with step you truly are limited. More and more of the combos I see are extremely contraindicated to give the members "exciting" choreography and to keep instructors themselves mentally stimulated. You are only hurting yourself and your members in the long run.

Try hi/low. You can do traditional or kickboxing, latin, hip-hop or boot camp type classes. Keep hi/low going!!!!! Be safe and happy.
