Squash bug kickboxing

This is a BoxAerobics pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 10870)

Hello everyone, I haven't submitted anything for a while. This is one that we have fun with and kills the legs. I call it squashing the bug.

Stand facing the front of the room. The standing leg (the one you aren't going to use) is slightly bent. All you are going to do is a side kick and then a step out to the side. When you step to the side only you toe touches the floor like you are stepping on a bug. I cue side-kick, squash, side-kick squash. You can get your hand moving for a little momentum. It is a lot of fun. I then add on.

Squash the bug twice (4)

You can move directly to the other side or do squats in between legs.

I break this one down.

Do it again!

I do each one seperately the first shuffle with cross, jab, cross, jab then switch toward the back of the room and shuffle again. Do this for a while until they have the hang of it. Then do just the 2 knee 2 side kick on each side. Then do the alternating speed bag jack and regular jack. Then add it all together. I cue the whole thing like this:
shuffle shout 1234
cross 567 knee up
on the second knee I say side kick
on the second side kick I say jack back
on the fourth jack I say speed bag
on the fourth count of speed bag I say shuffle front!
