Beginner to Advanced 32 count

This is a Step pattern from (pattern 10900)

I teach a multi level 50/50 class (half cardio, half strength training) so I try to teach combinations that the beginners can master, but advanced steppers can play with. Here is one of their favorites.

32 count and self-reversing

Combo 1

Base moves right leg lead

Repeat on left

Advanced combination variation

Repeat on left

*3 knee turn. Starting with right leg, turn as you would a turnstep but leave your left foot on the step and turn back. Exit with 2 hops with claps on the floor. I count a cue for them "1, 2, hestitate go back. 2 claps".

** Shuffle down the south side of bench with right foot, cross left foot over in front of short end of step, and left foot shuffles back up the step (back is facing east).

Hope you understand this. I think this is a great combination for people who are just starting to teach step (it's one of the first one's I taught). It's easy to break down and build on.
