Screaming Shoulders

This is a Body Sculpting pattern from (pattern 10913)

I teach 2 or 3 body sculpting classes a week, so I have to vary each exercise so I don't bore my classes. However, this is the same shoulder moves we do EVERY CLASS because it is so effective! You can add variations of course if you like.

It is basically four movements holding 3 or 5 pound dumbbells for most women, more for men of course:
(all movements are 2 counts up and 2 counts down)

We start out with 8 of each, then 4 of each, then 2 of each. This is always enough to get them burning!

We usually do this in between leg exercises, so I encourage the class to close their eyes and focus on breathing (inhale as you bring up and exhale down). This helps them to get their heart rate down some before going into more leg burning exercises.

Immediately after finishing all sets of raises we put down our dumbbells and for 2 minutes we hold our arms out to the side (parallel with floor) and we pump down, forward, back, small circles forward and back etc.. until time is up. I have people that sing or dance from side to side or whatever they can do to keep from dropping their arms. Everyone is staring at the clock just waiting for those 2 minutes of burning to end!
