Sonia's Veraciously Vertical Warm-up
This is a
Warmup pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 11860)
Begin on the left/west side with a right lead.
- 4x Tap the step, tap the floor alternately with the right
toes, step on the right foot on count 8 (8)
- Grapevine left away from the step (4)
- Grapevine right to the step (4)
- 4x Tap the left toes to the step (across the right leg),
step on the left foot on count 8 (8)
- Grapevine over the step 4x (16)
- Hustle forward and back on the floor 2x (16)
- 4x Squat and claps to step (16)
- 4x Circle in (16)*
- 4 Charleston kicks using the step (16)
- 3x: Double tap up on step, walk back around end (24)
Repeat with a left lead.
*This is a hustle done in a half circle turning in toward
the step. It is walk 1,2,3 in a tight half circle, tap/clap.
You circle to face back, front, back, front.
Repeat the combo 3 more times changing the double taps up
to double knees, then double abductors, then double hamcurls.
You can also change the first move to heel taps on the step,
toe taps on the floor. Take the circle ins to U-turns on the
step as you progress through the warm-up.
