Two Quick, High Energy Patterns

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 11939)

Both of these combos are fun to do towards the end of a class when you want something that is fast-paced and quick to do!

Combo 1:

Although I slowly walk through this combo and start with repeating each part it ultimately ends with this quick pattern:

Repeat right lead - A-step

Basically this pattern takes you facing the front and back of the room with a hop turn changing your direction. The total count is 16 per side. Once the group gets it this pattern is fun and high energy! I usually start with just A-steps, then add in the hop turn with A-steps facing the other direction, then add in the step touches and jacks. Once they get all this down I then cut down the number of A-steps until it is just one in between. If you like to turn your direction a lot on the step you will have fun with this one.

Combo 2:

Facing the narrow part of the step

Repeat

This is an 8 count combination that keeps you moving. I often count it and call it out loud for awhile so that everyone can keep up. I also start it off at half speed so they get the pattern down. The tricky part is that the second jump back MUST get your feet together behind the step so that you can do a jack. This is really fun and you can switch lead legs. I like to do this at the end of the aerobic part and we will do 10 for each leg or so.
