Kickboxing with style

This is an Abs pattern from (pattern 11664)

Usually my class will consist of three (3) combo patterns with a filler move in between the right and left sides. One full class would be as follows:

Round 1:

Left base (left leg in the front)

Now do the right base (right leg in front) with the same above combos

Round 2:

Left base

Do right side with round 2 combos

Round 3:

(We will do this one from the center base so for combo 1 you can choose to do the right leg and then the left and then move on to the last two combos or do the right go to 2 and 3 and then go back and do the left leg as above (your call))

Cool Down!!!!!!!!! You are done

It is really important to pay attention to the base that you are working with the first two rounds you do the left side first, put in a filler and then repeat on the right side. The last round you are working from the center. You do not have to run through that last round twice if you don't want to...just remember to do the 2 knees side kick and punch with the right and left leg before finishing the round. I teach this class to music that is usually around 136-150 bpm. It is a fast paced class and really works the student. You can use the same combos with slower music you will just not get through the whole routine. I have taken Karate for 12 years and have been teaching this format of kickbox aerobics for the last 6 so it really works and the students love the challenge.
