CJ's Pseudo Sparring

Hey everybody

Thanks for all the fantastic ideas! You guys are the best!

Here's one my class really enjoys, hope this ain't a repeat.

Start in regular class formation, you'll eventually have them partner up and "spar." Start with half time, move to tempo.



Repeat on other lead.

After they've gotten the pattern (or later in the class as a surprise) have them get with their partner (saves time if you have em partner up before class starts), have the class form two lines facing each other (or more if space dictates).

Line A and Line B face each other, bow, assume ready position.
Line A does combo A while Line B does combo B, at half time, so A attacks B and directs uppercut to the outstretched hands, THEN reverse and Line A does combo B, Line B does combo A

Once they get it (it won't take long), you can have them do it at tempo. When they're done, bow and shake hands.
